His interest in dermatology expanded in college during his diving career as a Division I athlete. Constant exposure to chlorinated water and hot tub treatments sent him back to the dermatologist regularly. Not uncommon to athletes, Dominic suffered severe skin eczema and an outbreak of bacterial folliculitis. Thanks to the effective treatments given to him by his dermatologist, his skin healed and he was able to successfully advance his diving career.
All of these positive experiences with his dermatologists sparked an interest in helping heal others of their skin ailments. As a result, Dominic chose a career in dermatology. He has developed special interests in acne care, sports dermatology and infectious diseases of the skin.
Dominic enjoys spending free time with his traditional Italian family during their Sunday dinners. He is an avid indoor and beach volleyball player and has played with the Gotham Volleyball League.
